Forgive me for quibbling, Goetz, but just in case Aravind is actually
going to hack this together...

You can't count on that third octet -- many certs that I generate
have 0x04 for that length octet. A large extension might get
you 0x06...

0x30 is certain, and 0x82, while not logically, is morally certain...
