Sorry about the slow reply. There is a command-line utility inside
"not-yet-commons-ssl.jar" that will convert a java keystore file into
a PEM file that OpenSSL can handle:

java -cp not-yet-commons-ssl.jar
org.apache.commons.ssl.KeyStoreBuilder -topk8 [pass] [file]
-----------------

Perhaps that will be acceptable to you.
