Only the 0.9.7 series of OpenSSL can be built fips enabled. I checked
on this a few weeks ago and they had suggested that it will probably not
be until later this year before a 0.9.8 version is available that will
be fips compatible. And after that, it has to go through the validation
process.

Keep in mind that 0.9.7 has the security vulnerability that is fixed in
0.9.8 but 0.9.8 is not fips compatible yet.

I have openssl-0.9.8g. Is it just a matter of linking to those libs ?

What would be the requisite './config' command ?

Cheers,
