Survey: Client treatment of blocked lock requests on server reboot
I'm trying to find out, for as many different implementations as
how NFS v3 clients behave when they receive an SM_NOTIFY while holding a
blocked lock request for the affected server.
For example: On Linux 2.4 (SLES8, RHEL3) and 2.6 (SLES9, RHEL4) the lock
request is dropped with denied_grace_period, which is presented to client
applications as ENOLCK.
I am especially interested in how many (if any) client implementations
reissue the blocked lock request, as opposed to treating it as rejected.
Answers for proprietary implementations would be most welcome.
