Hi all,
I'm running Redhat 9 on my NFS Client server and after a reboot the
lock recovery mechanism for NFS doesn't seem to work. The NFS server
still thinks the client has the lock. From what I read rpc.statd
handles lock recovery and it is invoked from this startup script
/etc/init.d/nfslock. My question is this does the nfs partition need
to be mounted for lock recovery to work? I checked out Redhat's
startup sequence and /etc/init.d/nfslock runs before /etc/init.d/netfs
(mounts nfs partitions).

Thanks in advance.
