Rebooting of nfs client
O/S FreeBSD 6.0
=>
[udp] nfsserver1:/: RPCPROG_NFS: RPC: Port mapper failure - RPC: Timed out
<= ad infinitum
fstab entry =>
nfsserver1:/ /ORIN nfs rw,soft 0 0
nfsserver1 is down, but was of the opinion that setting of "soft"
Options provides escape from infinite 'RPC: Timed out' issues/messages.
What am I missing or done wrong?
had another config =>
nfsserver1:/ /ORIN nfs -w=1024,soft,rw 0 0
but had the same problem
of course Ctrl C escapes the problem, but if the network goes down, do I
have to do this on umpteen machines.
Thanks!
