Audio Stream Through Hub - Networking

Hi,
I have what I hope to be a simple question. I've been streaming audio
using Windows Media Encoder for a while through a router and out to the
web. We just changed locations, and where I am now we're connecting
through a 10mbps hub rather than a wifi router. I've connected to the
hub and can access the internet, but the stream isn't working. What
could I be doing wrong?
