changed programs,mstasks,msimn,netdetect - Network

This is a discussion on changed programs,mstasks,msimn,netdetect - Network ; yesterday msimn outlook (destination 1000138 ,modem?) and,netdetect norton (destination 1000138)were chanched so said zonealarm 5. firefox was changed too,loopback za 5 says. today mstasks (source was 0000.1025), did run 3scans, spybot,adaware se,spysweeper,nothing was found.+ virus scan. what is this? abe ...

    Disable automatic updates for a week, then you will know.

    Hi Abe, Updates can cause this, so can Incorrect Shutdowns.
    ZoneAlarm itself could have a corrupted database. You could look in
    the Internet Logs folder in Windows to see if it's been creating large
    temp files at bootup or shutdown, which indicate a conflict, or too
    fast shutdown. Deleting all the files in the Internet Logs folder,
    (not the folder itself), and rebooting, will create a new database.
    You'll have to start over with your settings, though. Go to the
    ZoneLabs User Forum for more information on the problems you're
    having. Good Luck.
