  1. Network connection issue

    Hi,
I have a broadband account with this ISP. I do not have a single
account which doesnt support multiple pc's at a time and its costing
me more to get an account with more than one users. When i connect a
second PC, using an external proxy, i tend to loose connection on the
first PC. Is there any way to trick the ISP to support multiple
    connections on a single line???
I tried to call them but they said its not free...just trying to save
    money.
    Any help is much appreciated

Why not get a small router that connects to the broadband modem. The
router will usually provide DHCP services to provide IP addresses to
    your computers.
All the ISP sees is the modem and router IP address.

My experience has been with DSL, not cable modems.
