  1. controlling access to the create new bug form

    Hi All,

I am trying to find a way to control permissions on the create bug
form. Basically i don't want all my users to be able to set/edit
certain fields such as "target", "assigned to" etc in the crete new
bug form. Ideally i would want a way to assign this restriction on
certain groups, including the "guest" accounts.
Is there a way of implementing this?

    TIA

You can hide those fields, but you may be better off editing the
check_can_change_field method in User.pm, and then updating the bug/
    create/create.html.tmpl form.
See the docs for examples: http://www.bugzilla.org/docs/3.2/en/...rmissions.html
