  1. Mail notifications on KDE panel

    Hi folks

Is there a way to have minimised Thunderbird display the fact that
    unread mail may be waiting?

I'm hoping for some kind of icon or signal in the KDE panel.

    Thanks!

What am I looking for? Most hopeful is "Config Editor", which has a
    jillion options. :-)

I _am_ following your directions, but I now think that this may be a
    Gnome-only thing.

Unless you mean the "when new messages arrive" notifications, which
is NOT what I'm looking for.

I'm looking for a long-term indication that there is unread mail, not
    brief
    pop-ups whenever mail arrives.
