I have Jet Audio installed (the basic free version because I am too cheap
to do otherwise) and it plays the stream from the station's first option
just fine. The second option plays fine from WMP.

I tried that and Winamp, and neither can be found by FF. Do you have an
association set in FF that I don't have?

Would you kindly look for RealPlayer in about:config and tell me what
types are associated with it?

That is not where the plugin info is stored. With Fx 2 it's in mimetype.rdf

it should automatically open wmp within the browser.
If its not for you, then you have something wrong. Try
installing the wmp FF plugin:
http://port25.technet.com/pages/wind...-download.aspx
if that fails, then save the listen.pls.xpl file to
your hard drive, then from wmp, click on File, Open
File, and open that file.

Well, if there is an association inside FF then it was done automatically.
IIRC JetAudio was installed sometime before I ever tried FF. Honestly, I'd
expect that the association would be a function of the operating system
rather than FF and that it would be based upon the file extension.

Punt if You do not know how to edit one of those Resource Description
Files. However, You could try renaming and let Fx build a new file as you
progressively encounter different file types on the web.

OK. Step-by-step.
1) GOTO http://www.whyy.org/91FM/live.html
2) Click on the top "Listen>>" link
3) Get a pop-up: "Opening listen.pls
You have chosen to open listen.pls which is a M3U file from
http://207.245.67.204.
What should Firefox do? (Default is "open with WMP")
4) Click OK, "Downloads" pane opens and shows that listen.pls.xpl is
being downloaded. Also, WMP opens but says that it doesn't recognize the
xpl extension.
5) Click OK to have WMP try to play it. Popup says WMP cannot play it.
6) Close WMP
