  1. Everything got bigger after switching to FFox 3.01

After switching FFox from 2 to 3, all display items including icons,
text labels, menu fonts have become much bigger. Part of the Option
display is cut off on the right side, etc. How can I restore the
previous state? I set all those on FFox 1.5 by going through tedious
experimental process and I do not want to do that again.
    Please anyone help.

Thanks to Chris and eisneun for your responses.
I did as the reference said, but now everything are much smaller than
those on FFox 2. Then I tried larger dpi value as 110, 120 and 140 but
they did not get larger. How can I adjust those display size?

Betcha using a Windows DPI setting of 150% or more.

    From https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=426788 (and earlier
    threads in this newsgroup):

    - I and several others have confirmed the problem.
    - It happens with (at least) XP SP3 and Vista SP1.
    - It was introduced by some change that was made between 3RC1 and RC2.
    - A setting of 149% (143 dpi) works fine, and is thus a pretty good
    workaround.

Yes, my Windows DPI was set for 150% or 144DPI. I reduced to 143DPI and
    the problem seems gone away.

By the way, how can I use layout.css.dpi? I tried 96 and 140 but did
not see any effect on anywhere.

Beats me. Assuming you did what the knowledge base article said, it's
either incomplete, incorrect, or not inclusive. BTW, as I recall, no one
in the other threads here was able to fix the problem by any method
other than the Windows dpi workaround.

I meant that I tried layout.css.dpi AFTER Windows DPI workaround was
done to see if I could fine tune the size. I assume that layout.css.dpi
is not yet working as it is supposed to be.

Ah, gotcha. Take a look at the samples in UserChrome.css. Let us know if
there's something you want to do that isn't covered there.

    HI,

I have exactly the same problem. I used to live very happy with my previous
2.x version and suddenly everything got too big to be usable in a
comfortable way. I don't have a solution, so if someone finds one, please
share it, I will do the same.

    Thanks
