Thread: Some menu entries disabled

  1. Some menu entries disabled

    I am running TB 2.0.0.14 (20080421) on openSUSE 10.3

Today I have suddenly lost access to 3 entries in the "Tools" menu (ie.
"Run Filters on Folder", "Run Junk Mail Controls on Folder" and "Delete
Mail Marked as Junk in Folder"). The entries are disabled and "grayed
out". My Filters and Junk controls are still working. I have not added
any extensions or made any deliberate configuration changes for at least
    4 days.

It's not a major problem, but it would be nice to find a way of enabling
    these menu entries again.

Can anyone offer any thoughts or suggestions about ways to fix this?

    TIA

    Dave

    Hello Dave:

I believe you're looking at normal operation when you're reading
newsgroups. Try looking at your email source with Thunderbird and
you'll see all of them come back. Then come back to newsgroups
    and they're "grayed-out" again.

BTW - You may wish to check your openSUSE archives for Ver 2.0.0.16 of
    Thunderbird.

    Best wishes to you.

Thanks for that, but the situation I described is when I am viewing
    normal email.

Will do, but it seems odd that the entries disappeared when nothing had
    be updated or modified.

    Likewise.
