  1. Saving E-mails in TB 2

Hi, I suspect that this has been addressed before. I need to save some
of my e-mails to a flash drive. I have them in separate folders in TB
and would like to save the whole folder. How do I do this? Can they be
dragged and dropped or do I have to jump through some hoops. Thanks Jim

I use the "ImportExport Tools (MboxImport enhanced)" addon here:
    http://nic-nac-project.de/~kaosmos/mboximport-en.html
to move emails back and forth between work and home installations of
    Thunderbird.

This addon will save individual emails or entire folders of emails to
various formats (but I've just used .eml myself). Performs reliably and
does what it says, no fuss, no muss.

A backup/save shema which seems to suit your purpose.

You already have the email in unique folders.
To save/backup make note of the name of the folders, quit Thunderbird.

Go into your profile, into the mail folder and find the names that
    correspond to your folders.

i.e. if your folder is named Funnies then you are looking for the file
    named 'Funnies'

Leave any other files you find there such as Funnies.msf or Funnies.sbd
in place, do not move these.

Place the 'Funnies' file into someplace outside the Thunderbird
    program/file/folder on your harddrive.

Now. if you ever want to access those email again, simply drop the file
you removed back into where you got it from, restart Thunderbird and
all your email is there again.

Thanks for the heads up. I installed the add-on and it works good. A
slight learning curve (very slight). Now if I could just get Eudora 8
    to work with Webmail. Jim

I don't seem to have a Profile in Thunderbird that shows folders in
fact it don't show much of anything. I used the Import/Export add-on
from the other post. It works good for my purposes. Jim
