  1. flash9 plugin problems installing

1st problem is firefox has to be closed to install flashplayer9.
2nd it doesn't entirely install, unless you have flashswf32.dll in a windows
folder. I happen to have 6 of them from 2000 to 2007. But not one in the NEEDED
    folder.
3rd to install outside of firefox, you have to download the installer from
    flash.
4th then run it. Still no install, still needs that DLL in 1 specific folder.
stick that dll in the right folder, [open details], and rerun the installand
    done.

Posting this here cause I haven't found a direct link to the firefox support
    people.

If installer doesn't work correctly, only Adobe (owner of Flash) can do
something about the it. Flash is external closed source plugin and
developers of Firefox have no control over it.

But I've never had a problem when Installing Flash so I assume there has
been something broken on your system before you tried installing it or
there were some other problems, unrelated to Firefox. So bug report to
    them might not help either.

As well as looking at references from other posters you could also try this
link. This site is as official as firefox plugin support gets!

What I posted above is how to install it when firefox can't install it.
But the link is one I don't have.
