  1. Auto Log

I am using the latest version of Firefox and it will not autolog or allow me
to manually log in to forums I visit daily. The log in box pops up with the
required user name and password but it will simply not log in.

I attempted to remove Firefox and re-install but have found it impossible to
completely remove FF. When I re-install my bookmarks, etc are all still
there. I even went so far as to remove the registry keys for FF but got the
    same results.

Anyone know what is wrong here?

    Thanks in advance

all your settings, passwords, bookmarks, etc, are stored in
an area called the FF Profile Directory. This directory is
separate from the program directory. When you uninstall, all
you're doing is removing the program, not the profile.
Thats why when you reinstall, its picking up that profile,
    and starts using it again.

Anyways, open the password manager [under Tools], and remove
the passwords for that site. Now try again.

correction, do not edit the password file. Instead, delete
the cookies first [tools, options, privacy, settings
button], then if that doesn't work, then edit the profile.

    Sonny,
Do you have any firewalls, ad blockers or pop-up blockers activated?
Perhaps one of them is interfering.
