Firefox without SSL 2.0 is useless! - Mozilla

  1. Firefox without SSL 2.0 is useless!

    IE still supports it ... Verisign still supports 2.0 certs thru
    2009 ...
    people are still using it, some will still use it long after by

    we just got people using firefox and now are going back to
    IE ...

    who's the genius at mozilla who decided to cut off SSL 2.0 support?

    Not much I can do to help you with your attitude problem.
    For the SSL2, you might go into about:config, filter on SSL2, and enable it.

    Actually SSL2 (along with other weak ciphers) were just disabled, not
    removed. According to
    , SSL2 is also
    be disabled by default in IE7. Perhaps you were referring to an earlier
    version. For information on why the change was made, see
    .

    To enable SSL2 in Firefox:
    1. Type the following, in the location bar, and press :
    about:config

    2. In the resulting page, search for the preference:
    security.enable_ssl2

    3. Double-click on it, which should set the value to true.
