Also since yesterday cannot save copy in "sent folder"

If you are using any firewall program then
close Thunderbird.
From Firewall delete Thunderbird entry .
Start Thunderbird .
Try to download new message .
Your Firewall should ask for your permission to let TB to access Internet .

This bug has been fixed in Trunk builds .
