You can only have one IE engine installed at a time. If you install
IE7, that's what IEtab uses.

It works, and since if you install IE7, it IS IE, then, yes, it works
with IE7.

Nothing dumb about it. IE7 is substantially changed, and if the OP
knows little about how these things work, it is a valid question.
