Don't worry , your all stored data are still on your hard disk.

open task manager window , click on 'process' tab and make it sure that
'no' thunderbird.exe process is running.
Now goto Start > run. type
"thunderbird.exe" -profilemanager

it will open Profile manager window. are there more than one profile listed?
