Thread: Verticle Reading Pane layout question

  1. Verticle Reading Pane layout question

I know everyone is going to say that if I like the way Outlook does
something, then I should just use Outlook. No.. Outlook sucks...
except for the way the verticle reading pane works.

If you setup a verticle reading pane in Outlook 2003, the message list
displays each message header/thread/whatever you want to call it on two
lines. Thunderbird trys to cram each messgae on one line. Is there a
    fix to this?

    Thanks.

I too would love that feature, or an extension that could do it.
There are actually two enhancement bugs filed on the subject, the
first one with some interesting comments (including a link to a
MozillaZine discussion). Apparently, that functionality requires
some deep work in the code, and it would be difficult or
impossible to design an extension for it.
