TB zombie processes - Mozilla

This is a discussion on TB zombie processes - Mozilla ; In Windows XP SP2 & TB 1.5.0.4 if I open and close TB n times, then Windows Task Manager show n TB thunderbird.exe processes (zombies) !!! Any help ? Thanks...

  1. TB zombie processes

    In Windows XP SP2 & TB 1.5.0.4 if I open and close TB n times, then Windows
    Task Manager show n TB thunderbird.exe processes (zombies) !!!

    Any help ?

    Do you have anything set to happen on exit? (Empty trash on exit)

    .... it seems nothing ... the trash remain unmodified, but just s serious
    problem: Windows XP DOES NOT SHUT DOWN until I kill by hand all
    thunderbird.exe processes.

    When you start Thunderbird, start it via
    Start-->Programs-->Mozilla Thunderbird-->Mozilla Thunderbird(No Extensions)

    Does the problem still appear?

    Is that to say your original profile is working properly now, or just
    the other profile?

    Now is working just the new profile, I've tried with the old default
    profile but the problem still exists in it.
    I've re-setted all mailboxes under the new profile and I use only it.
