First, a filter based on black list from spamcop.net, sorbs.net and
    other recognized spam fighters.
My ISP does that as a free serveice, for instance. Ask your provider.
Second, make your own message filters in TB.
Third, any unsolicited message that passes these filters can be caught
by a trained TB's Junk Mail Controls (JMC).

I use Mailwasher Pro. It only downloads the headers, and lets me decide
what to do with the messages. Has blacklist, whitelist, filters, can use
    Spamcop, etc.

Current price USD 37, and worth every penny!

I have used MailWasher Pro and love it. It's easy to set up and free
upgrades for live with the paid version. There is a free trial version
if you want to try before you buy. http://www.mailwasher.net
