  1. TB - 1.5 Bug

Has Anyone encountered A bug In Thunderbird 1.5 when saving any of your mail
messages to your external device or hard drive (other location) and then if
you click on the mail message saved to your other location and then you get
    the following error message:

    ( d is not a registered protocol )

if I Do the same with outlook express 6 all is ok so what is wrong and if
their is a fix for this bug and if this has been reported yet?

I'm Currently using Outlook Express Until All The Firebird Bugs Are Worked
out so For Now I Am just Using Mozilla's Firefox Browser Which I Find To Be
A Great Browser, Lots Of Great Features, hopefully TB Will be bug free soon

I have all my email and news data saved on a portable hard drive, which
is either used as a network share, or plugged directly into my laptop.
everything works fine. Right now, the portable drive is plugged into my
desktop, and I am accessing the data from my laptop over the network
    without problem.

Can you be a little more specific about what you are doing that causes
this error? It will help us to troubleshoot.

[assuming you're trying to open a saved *.eml file] change your file
association to open .eml with TB.
