Fairly painless, do the reinstall and then run the install stuff for all
the things added since the last update (mainly flash). I do note that
other browsers update instead of reinstall from scratch, something which
might be included in 1.5 or whatever.
MINOR ODDNESS: I note that my panel now shows "Gecko" as the running
application, not "Seamonkey." so the window manager is getting different
information since the change. Why.
I will put up a screen dump so people can see it, I'm sure it will save
some "what does that mean?" questions. See
http://www.tmr.com/~davidsen/Gecko.jpg lower right corner.

Odd ..I have SM 1.1b installed on this machine and when I do as you have
I get SeaMonkey there and not "Gecko" ..I haven't got my other machine
on right now ..it has SM 1.0.6..I will have to see what it does ...or it
could be a Linux thing since I am running WinXP Home on this machine and
WinXP Pro on the other.

Have now checked the other machine running SM 1.0.6 on WinXP Pro and it
too shows "SeaMonkey" there and not "Gecko".

I have an interesting effect with my Recently installed SM 1.0.6 on
MandrakeLinux 10.1 (I'm waiting for the Mandravia 2007 discs to be
delivered.)
I have SM set up to boot into the Mail & Newsgroups screen, and, with my
previous SM 1.0.0, when I started I got an instance of SM M&N on the
task bar.
Now, I get a "Starting Seamonkey" on the task bar, then, maybe 15 sec
later, I get the SM M&N on the task bar WITH the "Starting Seamonkey"
task still showing for another 15 secs or so.
As I type this, it occurs to me that I have my system set up not to show
a "splash screen", but, maybe, the internal process that causes the
splash screen to, otherwise, appear may still be happening, causing this
entry on the Task Bar.
Anybody else noticed this, especially if you don't use a splash screen
and extra especially if your on Linux?

I should have also mentioned that Mail Junk Control doesn't work but,
then again, it hasn't worked for SM 1.0.0 either. Cannot get the
selections in the JMC to stick.

Look here: http://kb.mozillazine.org/ . Go into the Seamonkey section
and see if something there applies to you.
This might be useful: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Inbox_stays_blank . You
might consider applying that advice to the junk mail folder.
Good luck.

Thanks for the links. At a quick glance, nothing applies, but I'll give
them a better read shortly.
In the mean time, I've just deleted the Training.dat file. When I
restart SM, I'll try setting things up again and see if they stick.

Odd. Well, I can live with it, just wondered.
