    Why this happens?
Is there any difference in XLib,Motif
commands that deal with color for 32 vs 64 bit machines?

A few examples would have been useful.

Its not a question of 32 vs 64. IRIX comes with a scheme system, and
the default scheme is *not* identical to the default coloring in
Motif. IIRC you can disable it by setting

    *sgiMode:False

    in your .Xdefaults.
