  1. Porting svn or rsync to MINIX 3.1.2

    Hey folks,

As a starter with MINIX I am going to code some stuff for/on it. As
until now this was a very convenient way of working, in general I used
svn and/or rsync to synchronize my code.

I found some old discussions (2005) about rsync in this group, but did
anyone of you eventually manage to port an svn client or rsync to the
current stable MINIX? Would be very nice to have it, since
implementing on MINIX itself would be kind of a nightmare for me
    (IMHO).

Thanks in advance for your suggestions

    /Chris

  2. Porting SVN or Rsync to MINIX 3.1.2 -- they are vital for BOINC server and client (command line or graphical) installation!

To run BONIC on MINIX 3, you need SVN to do the port!
Ergo, SVN for this family of software is vital.

    Ahem...

Try searching for "rsync" and "subversion" on these pages:

    http://www.minix3.org/software/
    http://www.minix3.org/news/

    #include
BTW, contrary to the official party line, I've had much better luck with
3.1.3a than the officially "stable" 3.1.2a release for just about everything
I've tried to do with Minix.

    Cheers,
    Bob
