I am a freshman not only for minix, but also for unix and linux. I
have some problem in using minix, such as setup network , X windows,
and so on. These problems troubled a lot of peoples. I wondering
someone write some papers about them instead of FAQ.

I run minix3.1.2a on VMware. It have an Intel E1000 network card and
256M RAM.
I have anoter question. I don't know minix is 32bit or 64bit. I cat
run minix on VMware as a MS-DOS guest or 64bit guest.

I think a "dpeth"will suit for it, but I don't know how to change
"rc.local"(dpeth_arg='DPETH0=port:irq:memory).

I'm not sure about the current state of usage(8)/usage.txt -- have you
read it? If yes and your problems persist, a more detailed report
"where I failed to set up Minix" might help somebody (not me :-)
who'll expand the text.
