Freeing up space taken by updates.
Hi everybody.
I have finally been able to install WinXP Pro in my computer. After
installation, OS is taking about 2 GB of disk space. Then i applied
SP1 and SP3 and the occupied space took up to about 5 GB. Why?. Is it
safe to delete \WINDOWS\$NT* folders to free up space?
Thanks for your advice.
Marco.

You can delete them all except one called Hsmig or similar. It will mean
that you can't uninstall the updates but no one ever does anyway as new
updates override older ones.
