Hi,

where does the windows explorer save the icon positions (of icons
representing files?) My father arranged his files manually to order them
by relation (i.e. all pictures of a certain building, ..) and has broken
the normal ordering, so instead of

123457.jpg
123458.jpg

he ordered them as such:
123457.jpg
123456.jpg
123458.jpg

and now wants to make this ordering permanent. Is there any hidden file
or registry key (or similar) which contains the exact file order as
displayed in explorer, and if yes, how can I read them (and rename the
files accordingly to physically rearrange them into the packages my
father tried to create)?

Thanks a lot in advance,

Wagner M.
