Please set Knode to line wrap at about 70 characters please.
Some subject matter experts may not bother to reply if they have to
    reformat your post.

Looking around on my system under Audio/Video in the menu would
suggest that brasero is k3b's replacement.

    Name: Brasero Disc Burning
    Desc: Disc Burning Application
Comment: Write and copy CD / DVD
    Command: brasero

Thanks for the info and your prompt reply.
I have installed 2009 with kde4 on a separate drive and I am trying to get
to learn a bit more about kde4 (I'm using 2009 with kde4 removed and kde3
    installed in my main computer)
Sorry about the post with more than 70 character; this was done from kde4!
    Thanks for telling me.

    There's a bug in knode in 2009.0

Knode has a serious problem with line wrap in the KDE4 version.

    Well, this explains it.
I just upgraded to the new kernel, hope this might
correct it. otherwise we will have to cut the lines short

You can use k3b. As root, "urpmi k3b".

There's a bug in knode in 2009.0. Have you considered using Mozilla
Thunderbird? (Have used Thunderbird for years on Windows. I'm planning
to move from XP to 2009.0 Gnome and keeping Thunderbird.)
