    This morning I went into MCC and changed a couple of things in the
    personal firewall. I happened to be tailing the syslog at the same
    time, and when I came out of the firewall config screen I got the
    following in the log.

    Can someone tell me what's going on here please?

    All of the Unknown symbol messages are a result of adding
    install ipv6 /bin/true
    to /etc/modprobe.conf, to disable ipv6 dns lookups as recommended in
    http://wiki.mandriva.com/en/2008.1_E...eb_browsing.29

    An alternative way of disabling ipv6 is to add
    IPV6INIT=no
    IPV6TO4INIT=no
    to all ifcfg-$interface files in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts, add
    alias net-pf-10 off
    to /etc/modprobe.conf and add
    NETWORKING_IPV6=no
    to /etc/sysconfig/network
