Frightening-- many of those errata are for extremely common things. Looks
like disableling pulseaudio is mandatory at present. And the iwl wireless
driver problems are not good-- intel cards used to be one of the best
supported Linux wireless cards.

I missed a lot of errors because I always do clean installs.

I do not know about that. I installed skype-2.0.0.68
and have no problem with audio. So far, I have gotten away with out
having to use Adobe Flash. I did install the gnash-firefox-plugin.
So far audio sounds like static when two apps
access the audio output device at the same time.

What is described should be called "update" not "upgrade".
An "upgrade" is rather a clean install keeping /home as is.
Well, the IPW driver issue could be a real problem... But as a pleased
2008.0 I can wait until the 2009.0 or 2009.1 release before upgrading.
