Have you filed a report at qa.mandriva.com and asked others
who agree it's a bug to vote for the bug report? If not,
the Mandriva folks may not even know about it.

As nearly as I can tell, nobody from Mandriva reads this
newsgroup. They should, but I have yet to see any evidence
    that anyone does.
