  1. Firefox and Thunderbird updates

I finally got around to checking, and I see that the Mandriva 2007
update sites have Firefox 1.5.0.9 and Thunderbird 1.5.0.9 available.
Same thing with an updated version of OpenOffice. I already installed
Thunderbird 1.5.0.9 and Firefox 2.0.0.1 using downloads from the Mozilla
site, and I was about to get the latest OpenOffice from their site. Is
there any particular reason that I should get the Mandriva versions, too?

You can download & use Firefox 2.0.0.1 without any problem with M-2007.
You can also download & install OOo 2.1.0 - it comes with core rpms & a
Mandriva menu update rpm. It will update the present version (2.0.04)
available from Mandriva update site. It works fine with M-2007.
