| and spyware, as well from phishing attacks -- but think they are far more
| protected than they actually are. That's according to a new survey released
| Monday by McAfee and the National Cyber Security Alliance.
| The study found that 87 percent of respondents thought they had installed
| antivirus software on their computers, but in fact only 52 percent had
| updated the software within the last month. More than 90 percent said they
| believed they were protected from viruses.


So it's far worse than perceived.
