    hello friends .....
    i just started working on kernel module (device drivers) programing ..
    i am trying to create kernel threds using kernel_thread . i dont know
    how to get the thread id (identifier for that newly created thread).
    plz help me.
    i am using kernel 2.6.9 .

    The return value of the kernel_thread function is the thread id. (The
    thread ID is called the "pid" inside the kernel. It really is the
    thread ID though; the process ID is called "tgid" [for 'thread group
    ID'] within the kernel.)
