Thread: Build directory in Debian

  1. Build directory in Debian

I am looking at the hello-2.1.1 Debian package.

It appears that the compiled object files and the executable binary file are
placed in the src directory alongside the source files.

Is this common practice? I would rather use a separate build directory for
intermediate and compiled files, leaving the source directory intact at all
    times.
