To William Poaster, High Plains Hypocrite and others
Frankly your constant harping on about my "being unable to install etch"
and having "stability issues with testing" is beginning to drag
on. Since you clearly know NOTHING about what "Stable" means in etch and
WHY testing is there and how experimental exists here is a start and
then, maybe then, you will stop posting such complete nonsense.
Here is a link to a fairly new initiative to bring newer drivers into
Etch (stable).
You can start there:
http://wiki.debian.org/EtchAndAHalf
,----
| Etch and a half is the nickname for a project to add newer packages
| (kernel, Xorg drivers and debian-installer) within the stable Debian
| 'etch' release to increase its usefulness to users with hardware that
| requires updated drivers.
`----
I realise it will tax your little brains and that you will realise you
have made idiots of yourselves the past year or so but do TRY to learn
before you talk more nonsense about Debian and newer HW.

I'm glad you agree.
Now, did you FINALLY read and understand what Stable is and WHY
EtchAndAHalf exists?
Do you understand pinning and back ports yet? No? Well, there's a
surprise.

Except I wasn't Willy. You were. Again.
But if you had one iota of sense you would read the link I provided (and
High Plains Hypocrite snipped of course in true Porter style) and know
that.
As it is you will continue to make a fool of yourself posting nonsense
about Debian. A subject you know nothing about.

This is an example of phishing and has nothing to do with posting
related to the charter of this newsgroup:
1.4 The Charter of comp.os.linux.advocacy
The charter of comp.os.linux.advocacy is:
For discussion of the benefits of Linux compared to other

That single sentence is the one and only charter of the
newsgroup comp.os.linux.advocacy. The newsgroup's charter is for
the newsgroup as a place for supporters of Linux to gather to
discuss Linux, for the betterment of the Linux community and the
promotion and development of Linux. It supports this as a place
for those who would like to learn more about Linux to come to
learn from those who know Linux. It does not call for it to be a
place where the anti-Linux propagandists to gather in order to
discredit Linux.

Perhaps if our diminutive atomic sub particle had properly

Debian Stable is one of the most widely used distros for mission
critical applications and where one wants minimal impact to
production work. Very few require bleeding edge software to be
productive.
Yet Hadron insists that Debian Stable is full of bugs and too
backward for usage:

Once more for the hard of brain power : I use testing. Not
unstable. And I use it for a reason - Debian Stable is simply too
buggy and backward and I cant be arsed to manage pinning or
selectively monitoring backports.

These are examples of ad hominem attacks, attempts to degrade the

Except I've used Debian & Linux for much longer than Quack has. And of
course in *true troll style*, Quack replies to someone who has had him
binned for a long time.

So you say. The point is why are you so clueless about how Debian works
and releases if this is the case?
The link you morons snipped explains to people *why* I did what I had to
do to get modern HW working. before the existance of EtchAndAHalf one
had to use backports and pinning.
You of course told lies. No surprise there.

It's what a troll does. And it's *well known* that all Quack does is
"whine & complain", that his "attitude sucks", & he's an "arrogant prick"
(quotes from dozens of regular posters in aolu).

Tuxguitar is not high on their QA list you simpleton....

No I didnt. That is an out and out lie. I *SAID* that bog standard Debian
stable does not work with lots of modern HW.
And once MORE - I use Lenny. Get it yet? I doubt it.

Hadron is an angry, self-important, and confabulating gas-bag.

A girl spent a couple hours on the phone talking to her two best
friends, Maureen Jones, and Maureen Brown. When asked by her father why she
had been on the phone so long, she responded "I heard a funny story today
and I've been telling it to the Maureens."

If you use Windows\Vista at work, and you troll-nymshift on cola, why
exactly do
you think you belong here trespasser?

This is rather pathetic excuse for a Wintroll, calling an Linux
advocate a trespasser in a Linux advocacy group, when the only
requirement per charter is "for discussions of the benefits of
Linux compared to other operating systems".
Per:
http://tantek.pbwiki.com/TrollTaxonomy
Ad hominem troll
Ad hominem troll at its simplest, will attack people personally,
rather than the merits of their statements or methodologies.
The ad hominem troll often has already lost a rational argument
about a topic, and thus its goal is to change the argument from
being about a topic, to being about the people opposed to the
troll (which could mean any/all rational person(s) in the
discussion), in the hopes of both discrediting people's ideas
indirectly by discrediting the people, and engendering an
emotional reaction from the people by attacking their egos /
self-image. The "getting a reaction out of" goal is common to
most troll types.

Give it up DFS, you have already lost it.
