    The whole campaign was Rovian...

    > FYI
    > HTH

    1. McCain tried to ingratiate himself with the ungrateful GOP Right
    Wing.

    2. He squandered his reputation with attempts at spiteful character
assassination and was deserted by both moderates and his own
supporters in the GOP. In short, he gambled away his very selling
    point.

He promised to conduct a civil campaign but descended into
mud-slinging about Obama's celebrity, being a friend of terrorists,
a secret socialist, and a bag of eloquent air. Obama's ability to
flick the mud off his suit made McCain look increasingly desperate.
The result being that the American public saw McCain as a follower
of Rove and also exactly as Obama had painted him, a Boosh-clone,
a desperate, clinging, agitated, angry and unstable Boosh-clone
    at that.

    3. McCain apparently despises Boosh yet he supported Boosh's agenda.

    4. None of the above caused conservatives to flock to his cause so
he was left with exciting his base above winning over middle-of-
the-road swing voters. Day after day, McCain tried a different
desperate lie or exaggeration, the result being that all his trump
cards were thrown away; national security, pork-barrel earmarks,
    torture, the whole shebang.

    5. McCain's choice of Palin was not merely indicative of rash
judgement, it was downright socipoathic and had an immensely
    polarising effect.

    6. McCain's campaign suspension that never was was also the act
of a socipoathic nutjob, done only to gain sympathy and
    attention.

To be fair to McCain, he took a double-dose of ipecac in being a
Republican during Boosh's most unpopular time, and in the economy
leaping off a tall building only to splatter on the ground like
an over-ripe watermelon. Given those circumstances it is possible
to say he never had a chance, however the fact remains that McCain's
policies were indistinguishable from Boosh's and he attacked
Obama's character in lieu of addressing the issues, and as I said,
those tactics led him to be perceived as angry and erratic.

Who in their right mind would want an erratic and angry sociopath with his
    finger on the nuclear button?

I certainly ****ing wouldn't. Thank **** McCain got resoundingly trounced.

Oh, do not worry... now that I have shown agreement there are those who will
not be able to help themselves: they will *have* to post in opposition. I
suspect anyone who reads this post can guess who.

Oh, and your mocking of Bush's name was not really beneficial. I disagree
    with that. So there!
