Glad to know that this has moved from a Microsoft hate group to a
Michael Glasser watch group. Nothing in Linux to talk about?

Not on my end. If something's happening Linux-wise on your end, please don't
    hesitate to post it here.

If you're lucky, Snit will misrepresent and distort what *you* post, too.

You keep making this claim about me but fail to provide support. Funny

Well it's good to know that if nothing is going on, the details of
someone's life are on topic for this group. I'll keep that in mind for
    the future.

Does someone need to show you how to use a killfile? If you don't like it,
    don't keep reading it, champ.

What part of "it's good to know" implies that I don't like it? I love
it. Whenever anyone claims I'm going off topic now, I have a post from
a "respected linux advocate" backing me up that nothing is off topic
if nothing is going on. Personal attacks are now on topic in this
group, assuming nothing is going on of course.

    Yes.

This bothers you why? The performance (or lack of) of microsoft is
directly relevant to the furtherance of linux, hence on topic. That does
not make this a microsoft hate group, no matter how many times you lot
say so. There are plenty of groups for microsoft hate as is.

It doesn't bother any of us.
However, we are curious as to why it doesn't bother the Linux advocates.

The fact that no new Linux advocates seem to be posting here, going back a
long way in fact, should make you guys think.

This group used to have quite a few very good Linux advocates and was
growing and attracting new members, on both sides.

Then Schestowitz decided this group was his and he fired up the Google Seed
    machine.

    The rest is history.

Looking at COLA from Google on any given day or hour makes the group look
like a SPAM trap, similar to those groups that have been destroyed by
    Viagra type SPAM.

Also occurring at the same time (roughly) was a great increase in the
    number of patent troll posts.

My guess is that this influx /was/ due to Roy, since obviously some
people feel a need to counteract his flood of posts with their own, more
    noisome flood.

I think Ray Ingles wore himself out on amicus_unscrupulous; Kier wore
himself to a frazzle by putting his basically decent personality up
    against some scumbags; don't know what happened to Jim Richardson;
Maverick/Greycloud had a lot on his plate at home anyway; dunno where
    Terry Porter went.

I also have a sickening suspicion that a few bought it in 9/11, but I
hope that event simply served as a priority-readjustment for them.

    Ahhh, 'fortune' reads my posts:

It bothers me because I'd like to discuss some linux. Microsoft's
performance is only indirectly relevent to linux, and besides that's
all that's discussed. I am supposed to take away from this group that
Linux's success depends solely on Microsoft?

This is one more. Linux is rarely discussed anymore. No one makes any
effort to. I'm just as guilty as others, but at least I can see where
    the problem is.

Wrong. What microsoft is doing is directly relevant to linux and hence
    on topic.

If you want to talk Windows vs Linux yes.
So what does the Zune, Xbox360, Bill Gates this that and the other thing
have to do with Linux as an operating system.
The *charter*, which really isn't a charter, says comparing OPERATING
SYSTEMS, not Bill Gates trust fund...

Why do Linux users feel the need to slam Microsoft in order to edify Linux?

When I go to buy a car I want to hear what that car can do for me.

Not good examples, each one of those devices runs an operating system.
Hence, in a specific OS advocacy newsgroup, again, are on topic.

Here's a better question: why do wintrolls feel the need to go to a pro
linux newsgroup and slag linux off blind?

    Nope..

Anything can be stretched to fit any topic if one tries hard enough.

Schestowitz would be tossed out of just about any moderated group for the
volumes of off topic crap he spews here.

You guys just turn the other cheeck....not the one on your face either...

Mybe you have have someone else read it to you instead of attempting to
understand a concept that is way over your head.

BTW I notice a pattern with you Linux loons.

When you get cornered, which is simple to do by using facts, you turn and
    attack like a rabid rat...

You sound an awful lot like AZ Nomad BTW...

    Same pattern.
