  1. Strange Radeon\libGL DRI problem: "undefined symbol: xf86ReadMmio32"

    Hi,

I get "DRI enabled" on Xfree86.log, but "direct rendering: No" in glxinfo.
Glxgears and other OpenGL programs Ive tried segfault instantly. After
stumbling around the net I tried enabling verbose debug output from libGL
and seem to have found the problem.

This is the debug info from glxinfo:

    glxinfo
    name of display: :0.0
    libGL: XF86DRIGetClientDriverName: 4.0.1 r200 (screen 0)
    libGL: OpenDriver: trying /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri/r200_dri.so
    libGL error: dlopen /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri/r200_dri.so failed
    (/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri/r200_dri.so: undefined symbol: xf86ReadMmio32)
libGL error: unable to find driver: r200_dri.so
    display: :0 screen: 0
    direct rendering: No

I have Debian SID on an ev56 Alpha (hence the crosspost, may be an Arch
problem) and a compiled and installed Xfree86 4.3.99. Ive tried recompiling
r200_dri.so from Xree86 4.3.99 already and from (10/5 dated) DRI source, no
    difference.

The gfx card is a PCI Radeon 9000. Ive found very little info on "undefined
symbol: xf86ReadMmio32" in Goggle, hoping someone here has some idea or a
    working (Alpha) version of r200_dri.so

    Matt

Those most likely to help you are on the dri mailing lists:

    http://dri.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/m...i/MailingLists

I'd ask on dri-users first and then try dri-devel if you can't get an
    answer.

    Good luck :-)

After looking around the DRI lists, I found:
    http://bugs.xfree86.org/show_bug.cgi?id=967

Its a bug on Alpha platforms in XFree86 4.4RC1, patch already available!
