  1. DRI Support in Kernel 2.6 (Test11)

    Hi,

I have a Ruffian 164UX and Radeon 9000 PCI. Ive built and installed XFree86
4.3.99 and Kernel 2.6.0-test11. The Radeon works fine in 2D using Xfree
drivers, but 3D is a problem.

When I enable the DRM\DRI support in the Kernel (and also AGP Gart, is it
needed?) the display locks up just after displaying GDM. XFree86 appears to
have initalised correctly and /dev/dri/card0 is there.

Ive tried forcing the Radeon 9000 to load as a Radeon 7500 (with ChipID), no
    difference.

Any ideas... does DRI work with Radeons on Alpha platforms?

    Matt

And what happens if you disable dri in your XF86Config(-4) file. Does X
still crash after the GDM login screen?
