highly-skilled Junior UNIX Systems Administrator who will help support the
needs of a growing number of data centers and employees. Tower Research
Capital is on the cutting edge of quantitative trading, a lucrative field

vast amount of financial information in real time.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain a system of over 500 servers and 60 data lines in 6 locations.
Install, configure, and deploy fully distributed Red Hat Linux systems.
Order T-1 and T-3 lines, configure and secure Cisco routers. Patch Windows
and Solaris systems. Maintain system configuration files. Monitor the
backup system which handles over 60TB of data. Support a user base of 80+
people.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have experience with Red Hat Linux and Windows, Cisco IOS;
C/Perl/Shell; DNS/NFS/NIS; PC hardware Experience with Sun Solaris,
Sendmail, Apache, SQL/MySQL, SSH, PHP, IPTables Administration and Nagios
a plus Organized and detail-oriented (extremely important) Able to
manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment Strong
communication skills
Able to prioritize tasks and work meticulously Able to work as
part of a team as well as individually BS in Computer Science
preferred but not required Must have indefinite right to work in the
U.S. Must be able to begin work by May 2008 (at the absolute
latest)--the sooner, the better!
Work experience at a college/university Help Desk preferred.
