highly-skilled Junior UNIX Systems Administrator who will help support the
needs of a growing number of data centers and employees. Tower Research
Capital is on the cutting edge of quantitative trading, a lucrative field
that provides some of the most challenging mathematical and engineering
problems in the world. Our team trades a variety of products in a variety
of markets, using an extremely high-performance network that processes a
vast amount of financial information in real time.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain a system of over 500 servers and 60 data lines in 6 locations.
Install, configure, and deploy fully distributed Red Hat Linux systems.
Order T-1 and T-3 lines, configure and secure Cisco routers. Patch Windows
and Solaris systems. Maintain system configuration files. Monitor the
backup system which handles over 60TB of data. Support a user base of 80+
people.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have experience with Red Hat Linux and Windows, Cisco IOS;
C/Perl/Shell; DNS/NFS/NIS; PC hardware • Experience with Sun Solaris,
Sendmail, Apache, SQL/MySQL, SSH, PHP, IPTables Administration and Nagios
a plus • Organized and detail-oriented (extremely important) • Able to
manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment • Strong
communication skills
• Able to prioritize tasks and work meticulously • Able to work as
part of a team as well as individually • BS in Computer Science
preferred but not required • Must have indefinite right to work in the
U.S. • Must be able to begin work by May 2008 (at the absolute
latest)--the sooner, the better!

Work experience at a college/university Help Desk preferred.
