    "The European Patent Organisation (EPO) is continuing to grant thousands
    of monopolies on “computer-implemented” algorithms and business methods
    every year, against the letter and spirit of the written law"

    Accordingly, CIIs can be patented if:

    * They have technical character and solve a technical problem.
    * They are new.
    * They involve an inventive technical contribution to the prior art.

    "computer programs, which do not solve a technical problem, are not
    patentable in Europe"

    "On the flip side, the problem of improving signal strengths between
    mobile phones is a technical problem .. Such an invention would obtain a
    patent, provided that the solution is also novel and inventive"

    They go for the easy target, those whom are easy to corrupt. Giants like
    Simens, Microsoft (plus -- and via -- its lobbying arms), Nokia and other
    intellectual monopolies want to rewrite the law to secure the monopoly with
    fences. They wants a modern feudal system.
