"Driving me crazy, too. Sometimes everything freezes once every few hours,
sometimes once every 10 minutes. Only happens during activities like
opening/closing windows or menus. I can leave my laptop powered on overnight
and come back to it in the morning with no problems.

Thought it was Gimp, then Amarok caused about 5 crashes in a row. When they
persisted, I thought it might be Beryl, then desktop effects. I'm not
willing to sacrifice much more, and I don't know where to begin searching
    for the cause, unfortunately."
