NOt quite. Here's how it really works:

    Propaganda == greater demand
    Bad product == sales
Good product == lots of sales
More propaganda == greater demand and higher prices
Bad product == tons of sales
Tons of sales == make more crap fast
Godd product == (we aint't go any of those no more)

So that's why Vista has so completely killed of XP, and why ME was such
    a great success. Oh wait...

Was there a more H[y]pocritical and dishonest, snivelling swine as this
Homo? I can not think of one.

    Nope.

Even Roy Schestowitz isn't as bad as this bumbling boob [Homer].

Idiot. Walk into a store and check the selection of PC's that
"average Joe" can buy that do not have Vista on it.

ME was never going to take-over the world because there was the
    Windows 2000 option.

Vista hasn't killed-off XP because it hasn't been out long-enough to.
Most XP users are still using their XP machines. Duh. However Vista
may be a first for M$, in that it's combination of ****ty design and
horrible bloat MAY force M$ to (in the long term) continue to offer
    XP.

    And that's a fact.
I showed this group to a friend of mine who is not really a technical
person, kind of like a Kelsey or Mark Kent.

He laughed his ass off and the first comment was something along the lines
of, do they all wear tinfoil hats?

I'm trying to get him to join in the fun.
    He's a psychologist.
It should be quite entertaining watching him take apart the Linux loons.

A reliable source rang me up the other day to ask me to visit this group
and tell him what I thought. What a surprise they got when I said I was
already advocating Linux here. There was a horrible pause from my source
who then said "erm, you are joking?". I cracked up laughing and shared
the joke with him. As it turns out, they wanted a tech's view on the
posters here and whether they were totally mad pretenders or if there
was a shred of truth in most of what the COLA gang have to say about
Video, Swapfiles, UIs etc and how XP crashes all day long. I laughed and
told them that I *assumed* that most of the COLA "advocates" were, in
fact, just here for the COLA RPG and having some fun as an "alter
ego". He agreed since no one could be as nuts in real life as, say, Mark
"It's only me" Kent, Kelsey or Roy. The reason? They are doing a study
on "alternate universes" and how people change online to their real life
    persona.

Anyway, he agreed that COLA was clearly some sort of "fight club" for
people to act out fantasies and relieve the stress of another real world
    working day.

    That's precious!

And these boobs have no clue that they are in effect just shooting
themselves in the feet with all of these far out conspiracy hate posts.

Roy Schestowitz started this experiement with the purpose of seeding Google
with all kinds of "pro linux'" anti Microsoft key words and phrases.

Unfortunately, the entire experiment has backfired on Roy Schestowitz and
now he is in so deep that for him, there will be no way out.

He's seeded Google and other search engines alright, but not in the way he
    expected.
Search on Roy Schestowitz +* and see what you come up with.
For * you can pick just about any phrase from beastiality to kook to
    unstable to nut to......
And you won't just get one hit, you will get dozens and in some cases
    hundreds and thousands.

I'd change my name if I were him.

I think he does quite regularly. I spotted him accidentally doing the
"bracket condescending" thing recently under another name (nym) . You
see its Roys way (technique) of appearing intelligent yet caring to
explain to the great unwashed (thickies) what he really means (greater
    minds).

    Annoying isn't it (it) ....

Hmm, a choice between one /Microsoft/ operating system or another
    /Microsoft/ operating system. Well that's /obviously/ not a monopoly
    then, is it?

I never pegged you for an idiot until now, Smith.

I meant change his name in real life

Can you imagine Roy Schestowitz going for employment?
Most companies run a quick google just to weed out the real oddballs.
He lights up like a Christmas tree!

Personally, if were the personal manager, I'd call him in for a face to
    face just to meet him!
A person has to be very different just amass a history like Roy has done.
So maybe Roy isn't that stupid after all

I wonder if Roy's parents and relatives use Google?
I'll bet it makes for some great conversation at family gatherings!

Yes, that certainly is it. Hadron and flatfish in a nice "conversation"

Loook, boys and gals: One of the rare (just 4 to 5 times a day) occurences
where you could see the only two existing "true linux advocates" agreeing

    Certainly a view to behold
