After takin' a swig o' grog, Singer belched out this bit o' wisdom:

> Again, Linux is free.
> College students, in general, are poor.
> Windows cost money, lot's of money.
>
> So where is Linux?
>
> It's a simple concept.
>
> Imagine a Sandisk 30gb player for free.
> How many iPods would Apple be selling if that were the case?

Earth to Singer! Linux isn't a piece of hardware.

The student (parents, usually) buys the hardware.

Unless the buyer takes some trouble to look, the hardware has Windows.

Most buyers don't take the trouble. They don't know Windows and Linux
from **** or Shinola.

And, as you well know, having beat this troll drum often in the past,
many schools actually push Windows (usually needlessly) as the required OS.
