  1. Apparent bug in the newest FC5 samba update...

    Hey folks,

    Anyone else seeing this?

I just updated a working samba install from the default YUM repository to
    versions:

    samba-common-3.0.24-1.fc5
    system-config-samba-1.2.34-1
    samba-3.0.24-1.fc5
    samba-client-3.0.24-1.fc5

Now any shares that had permissions assigned by group (ie: @my_group)
won't connect and /var/log/messages is showing:

The shares work if you use a username rather than a group.

Anyone know what's going on? Have a fix?

....or is there any way to roll back to the previous version?

    thx-

I just found a fix... but I don't know why it's a fix. Does anyone know
    anything about this?

    changing

    valid users = @ to valid users = +

    fixes the problem.

    WTF?
